Production and Kiln Drying
At Başaranlar Orman Ürünleri we run our timber production on a principle of high quality and sustainability.
The high-grade timber we obtain from our facility in Douala, Cameroon is processed at our modern plant in Yalova. In the computer-controlled conventional and vacuum kilns there, with a capacity of 1,100 m³ per month, the timber is brought to its ideal moisture content. Once drying is complete, the products pass quality control and are held in our sheltered storage areas.
Alongside supplying timber in standard dimensions, we also offer sizing and cutting to your project’s specification.
Our Douala Facility in Cameroon
Sited at the source of the exotic species, our Douala production facility has been operating since 2016, strategically close to the international port.
Built on 7,000 m², the facility has a log-cutting capacity of 80 m³ per day. The purpose of our investment in Cameroon is to reach quality raw material directly and sustainably, so we can supply customers to a high standard without interruption.
Our Thermowood Production
Thermowood is produced at our plants with a heat-treatment technology that uses only high heat and steam, with no chemicals at any stage. The process lowers the timber’s capacity to take up moisture, giving it high resistance to outdoor conditions, decay and insect attack. Led by Thermowood Pine and Thermowood Iroko, we offer long-life solutions with high dimensional stability for facade and decking work.
Machinery and processing lines
Our plant runs 3 moulding machines, 1 opti-cut line and a vertical laminating press. After heat treatment, products are planed, moulded, grooved and surface-finished on our own lines.
Anti-slip grooving on decking profiles, interlocking details on cladding profiles and panelling sections are all produced to the tolerances the project requires.
Quality control
Every batch is checked for moisture content, dimensional tolerance and surface finish. Grading rests on measurable data as well as visual criteria, so no visible difference appears between batches of the same product.
